Benify - empathic HR

My current
role
As the interaction designer for Benify's front-end and payment engine teams, my role involves enhancing the app and portal experience for end users. I lead ideation workshops for concepts and design visions, and refinements for our angular component library.

I work in close collaboration with the product team and developers every day, where our collective goal is to make each new version better than the last.

Biggest wins (so far)
Personalise the experience
Our goal was to increase user engagement by making content more relevant and adding a personal touch, measured by log in-rate and concluded order-loops.

The target of the experience was international employees who were reasonably tech-savvy and used their wellness allowance to order benefits.

The solution: workshopped and user-tested a like-function and a shortcut function, both of which were WCAG-approved.

Pay by card
The project brief was to make it possible for Swedish users to pay by card in the Benify platform.
During the project, I supported workshops for user flows and requirements with stakeholders, designed and refined the card flow based around the provider - Adyen.

Currently working on supporting admins that need to travers the Benify Admin flow as well as the Adyen UI.

Templates for admin functions
Technical debt isn’t just old code, it’s also outdated UX patterns that stick around because the team has other priorities. It might seem small, but over time it chips away at the user experience.

At Benify, we solved this by keeping a few admin templates updated. That way, whenever a developer made small fixes, they had a clear UI reference and could bring pages closer to the standard without a full redesign.
